Job Posting: Heavy Equipment Operator – Wheeler River Project
Accurate Industries is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for the Wheeler River Project, a greenfield uranium in-situ recovery (ISR) wellfield and process plant located in the eastern Athabasca Basin of Northern Saskatchewan.
This role is critical to the execution of civil and earthworks.
Role Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various machinery required for bulk earthworks and site grading. Candidates must demonstrate competency in operating heavy equipment and will be required to perform work in accordance with Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Key Equipment to be Operated:
- Excavators: Operating excavators of various sizes for trenching, sub-cuts, and drainage improvements.
- Dozers: Operating Dozers (with GPS) for pushing earth materials and rough grading.
- Graders: Operating Graders (with GPS) for final grading and shaping subbase/base gravel.
- Rock Trucks: Operating Rock Trucks for hauling excavated materials and borrow pit aggregates to designated stockpile or fill areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in performing civil construction work similar in scope to the Wheeler River Project.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating equipment with GPS technology (specifically for Dozers and Graders preferred)
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to perform the work in northern climates, including winter conditions.
- Compliance: Mandatory participation in site safety and adherence to the project’s Drug and Alcohol Procedure is required.
Work Schedule and Logistics:
- Rotation: 14 days on, 7 days off.
- Shift: 11.5-hour workdays (11 hours paid/working, one half-hour unpaid lunch/break).
- Travel: Ground transportation provided via shuttle bus from Saskatoon to the project site or via helicoptor from Saskatoon.
- Accommodation: Construction camp and lodging will be provided.
