The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive, ambitious, organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator fluent in English to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and manage the movement of perishable goods across our global supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and seamless communication with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the transportation of goods using various modes of transport from suppliers and warehouses to international customers
- Prioritize and schedule shipments according to customer requirements and deadlines
- Track and trace shipments end to end the shipment process, proactively addressing any issues or delays
- Prepare and manage all shipping documentation including bills of lading, import/export paperwork and customs forms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, accounting and operations) to ensure smooth and efficient workflows
- Negotiate freight rates and provide accurate costing
- Deliver professional, solution focused customer service to clients and partners
- Ensure compliance with all logistics, customs, and agricultural regulations
- Understand border & customer procedures and ensures compliance
- Maintain adherence to company safety and quality standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree, College Diploma and/or 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain operations
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing demands
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across departments
- Knowledge of meat products or perishable cargo logistics is a strong asset
- Self motivated, proactive and eager to grow within the company
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
