The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Core French (JK–8). Our school-wide approach is grounded in Comprehensible Input, and we are seeking a teacher who can use this methodology to create engaging, accessible, and confidence-building language experiences for all learners.
The ideal candidate brings both a strong willingness to learn and the ability to quickly implement new approaches, fostering a joyful and supportive classroom environment for students.
This position is for the remainder of the current school year, with the possibility of continued employment into the next academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an engaging French curriculum through CI strategies
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Maintain up-to-date grading and communication with parents
- Write report cards and participate in parent-teacher interviews
- Support and attend school events
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the French program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or related field
- Teaching certification preferred
- Experience with Comprehensible Input methodology essential for this position
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for language teaching and student engagement
