Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction and renovation sites, utilizing a broad range of electrical skills to support our ongoing operations. The position requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and industrial electrical systems, including low voltage applications and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Candidates should possess hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools, along with handyman skills that contribute to efficient project completion.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) during installation and maintenance tasks
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete electrical work
- Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety codes and regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installations during new builds or renovations
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future issues
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification
- Valid Drivers License
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in construction environments involving electrical work
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power tools, and hand tools
- Familiarity with renovation projects and handyman tasks related to electrical systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various project settings
- Commitment to safety standards and regulations throughout all phases of work
Pay: $44.61 per hour
