Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Sous Chef to join their culinary leadership team in Kelowna, BC. Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Senior Sous Chef will serve as a key leader within the kitchen, helping drive daily operations, maintain high culinary standards, and support the development of the culinary team. The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional who brings strong operational experience, a positive leadership style, and the ability to create consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package of approximately $65,000 to $70,000 annually, including salary and tip share.
Description
- Support the Executive Chef in leading daily culinary operations and delivering consistent food quality and exceptional guest experiences.
- Take an active leadership role during service, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining strong standards.
- Coach, mentor, and support culinary team members while helping create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist with kitchen operations including scheduling, ordering, inventory management, and cost awareness.
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and organization to ensure operational excellence.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives to support team growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve kitchen processes, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Work alongside the culinary leadership team to maintain a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and pride in execution.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience within a full-service restaurant or high-volume culinary environment.
- Strong culinary foundation with the ability to lead and support a kitchen team.
- Passion for hospitality, food, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Experience with kitchen operations including scheduling, ordering, inventory, and food cost management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- A positive, team-oriented approach with a genuine interest in growing as a culinary leader.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
