About Landev
Landev Consulting is a growing civil engineering firm working across BC's Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky corridor. We are opening a new office in Squamish, and we are looking for a civil Project Engineer to help build that presence on the ground. You would be getting in early, with real room to grow, backed by a team that has worked on major and notable Squamish projects including the SEAandSKY master-planned community, Garibaldi Springs, Sirocco, and The Main.
We do things a little differently. We are forward in how we use AI and we are always looking for better ways to work. If you like variety, ownership of your work, and a small team that moves fast, you will fit right in.
What you will do
- Design civil land development projects: subdivisions, servicing, stormwater and drainage, and municipal infrastructure.
- Produce design and drafting in Civil 3D.
- Carry out site and construction inspections across the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
- Support municipal approvals: development permits, rezoning, and coordination with the District of Squamish, Town of Gibsons, and the SCRD.
- Coordinate servicing with utilities such as BC Hydro.
- Take on project management if you want it. This is a multi-role position, not pure design and not pure PM.
You will share the Squamish office with our engineering manager and a technologist, and have the full backing of our principals and the wider Sunshine Coast team.
What we are looking for
- P.Eng registered with EGBC, or an EIT with a few years of experience working toward licensure.
- Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience. Land development experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D (required).
- Familiarity with MMCD standards. If you are new to BC, we will consider equivalent experience from other municipalities.
- A valid driver's licence for site inspections.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Local Squamish or Sea-to-Sky knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement. We will help you get up to speed.
