As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial & Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Develop financial analyses to support business decisions and operational performance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Support revenue recognition and expense analysis.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
- Assist with GST/HST reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain financial dashboards and management reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
- Assist with commission calculations, recurring revenue reporting, and subscription tracking.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, and Leadership to provide financial insights and reporting.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation or actively enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or finance operations.
- Experience in a SaaS, software, or technology company is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Experience with financial reporting software such as Fathom is an asset.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics such as MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, and burn rate is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
