About Amrit’s French Journey:
Amrit’s French Journey is a growing French education program focused on helping students develop their French from the beginner level toward TCF Canada preparation and the NCLC 7 proficiency target.
Our students follow a structured learning pathway covering French foundations, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and writing, with increasing emphasis on TCF Canada skills as they progress.
As we expand our online programs, we are looking for a reliable, engaging and knowledgeable French instructor who is interested in growing with us.
About the Role:
You will teach live online French classes to small groups of up to approximately 10 students.
The initial assignment is expected to involve one batch, with the opportunity to take additional batches as student enrolment grows.
Amrit’s French Journey provides the overall curriculum, learning objectives and program structure. We are looking for an instructor who can use their own teaching skills and personality to make those lessons clear, interactive and engaging.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to teach from home.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging live online French classes
- Teach beginner and intermediate French according to the program structure
- Explain French grammar and vocabulary in a simple and understandable way
- Help students improve their pronunciation and practical communication skills
- Encourage active student participation and speaking during classes
- Conduct speaking exercises and interactive learning activities
- Provide clear corrections and constructive feedback
- Assign and review learning activities according to the program
- Monitor student progress and identify students who may need additional support
- Maintain a professional, respectful and encouraging learning environment
- Follow the learning objectives and progression established by Amrit’s French Journey
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in French
- Excellent understanding of French grammar and pronunciation
- Ability to explain French concepts clearly to complete beginners
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills
- Previous French teaching or tutoring experience is preferred
- Knowledge of TCF Canada is strongly preferred
- Personal experience taking TCF Canada is considered a strong asset, particularly candidates who achieved NCLC 7 or higher
- Comfortable teaching groups of up to approximately 10 students online
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a suitable computer, microphone/headset and professional environment for conducting online classes
- Reliable, punctual and able to maintain a consistent teaching schedule

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief online interview.
Candidates progressing to the next stage may be asked to deliver a short 10–15 minute sample French lesson. This will allow us to evaluate teaching style, clarity of explanation, communication skills and ability to engage students.
We are looking for someone who not only speaks French well, but can make French understandable and enjoyable for students who may be starting from the very beginning.
