Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional patient care within a busy ophthalmology practice. This role involves supporting ophthalmologists with patient examinations, managing electronic medical records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Prior experience in medical offices, optical settings, or Optometrist setting is highly valued.
Duties
- Perform preliminary patient assessments including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and other diagnostic procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Manage electronic medical records using systems such as ACCURO to ensure accurate documentation
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Conduct optical measurements for glasses
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical office setting, especially within ophthalmology preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred but willing to train the right candidate

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
