Job Purpose/background:
We are looking for talented and passionate developers to be a part of our agile team and continue to evolve our next-generation trading application. Citi Velocity is a front-office single dealer Electronic Trading platform that provides clients with access to Citi’s research and liquidity across Rates, Futures, and Equities in an integrated trading suite enabling fastest possible execution times.

The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to the Electronic Trading business and an opportunity to work on a large scale, modern technology platform with a global presence. The team works closely with end users gaining direct exposure to the fast paced world of front office trading and finance.

The role will include following responsibilities

Solve complex architectural and business problems in a clean and scalable manner
Apply software engineering best practices & latest technologies to produce high performance UI applications
Involvement with the full development lifecycle of analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and support
Working directly with Traders and Sales on requirements analysis and capture
Troubleshooting challenging performance and scalability issues
Assisting in third line support during core trading hours
Gain knowledge and exposure to Front Office Trading Systems, Fixed Income, and Derivatives flows.
Qualifications and Skills


Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or a related field
4+ years in building responsive Web user interfaces
Proficient with at least one Object oriented language C#, .NET or Java
Experience building complex single-page applications using HTML 5, Angular 2.0+ or other modern JavaScript technologies
Multi-threading and Synchronization on multicore systems
An interest in design, user experience or data visualization
Experience with Visual Studio Code
Experience working with REST APIs
Agile development experience
Nice to Have

Experience developing large financial software trading systems
Knowledge of Interest Rates or Futures financial products (e.g. Treasuries/Swaps)
Experience with building cross-platform desktop applications using Web technologies such as Electron, Chromium, and Node.js etc.
Knowledge of DevOps tooling: Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, Sonar
