Support the long-term automation and digital transformation roadmap.
Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve operational performance, reliability, quality, safety, and cost.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.
Identify opportunities to use AI and advanced analytics for process optimization, predictive maintenance, quality control, and production planning.
Develop and implement automation solutions to improve process stability, reduce variability, and increase OEE.
Provide technical leadership for automation projects, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
Establish and maintain automation standards, architectures, and best practices.
Evaluate the business value and ROI of automation and digital transformation projects.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
Bachelor's degree in Automation/Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation, electrical systems, and industrial computing.
Strong knowledge of industrial vision systems.
Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
Knowledge of Control Expert, TIA Portal, Citect, AutoCAD, is an asset.
Good understanding of industrial equipment connected to computer networks.
Good understanding of computer systems and capabilities.
Proficiency with basic Windows applications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
