We are currently looking for a Corporate Recruitment Specialist (Contract)
at our Volkswagen Group Canada Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON

As an experienced recruitment professional and leader, you will leverage your relationship building and full-cycle recruitment skills to manage, lead, and support recruitment for corporate vacancies.

Reporting into the Director, Human Resources, you will utilize your consultative approach in working with hiring managers will establish the recruitment and sourcing strategy for open positions while promoting the Volkswagen Group Canada (VGCA) employer brand with a key focus on finding the right people for the right roles at the right time.

Primary Responsibilities:
Consult with Hiring Managers on open positions and work consultatively and collaboratively to establish the recruitment plan and strategy for each role including target timelines
Ensure a consistent recruitment process flow is followed for all vacancies and educating hiring managers on their responsibilities throughout the process
Lead the assessment and selection process for external recruitment agency partners as appropriate based on the recruitment strategy for each role and manage relationships with external agency partners
Create external postings with a marketing focus to target the right candidates with the right skills for each position
Post open positions on appropriate job boards as per recruitment plan and strategy for roles
Maintain up-to-date and detailed recruitment files and notes to facilitate effective collaboration within the HR team
Act as Employer Brand Ambassador with potential candidates and external partners
Support Employer Branding efforts including monitoring social media pages for feedback and inquiries and managing LinkedIn Careers page updates as needed
Screen applications and proactively source candidates for open vacancies
Conduct phone and in-person interviews to qualify candidate skills and fit within the company culture
On-site interview and/or testing coordination & scheduling
Provide feedback on candidates to hiring managers to facilitate hiring decisions
Reference and background check process administration and review
Provide regular updates to candidates, hiring managers, and HR Consultants throughout the recruitment process
Prepare and distribute recruitment reports as needed and present weekly recruitment updates in HR Team Recruitment Meetings
Regularly update candidate and requisition statuses in ATS (Taleo) throughout recruitment lifecycle
Manage the offer process from the creation of salary recommendations for approval through to managing offer negotiations with successful candidates
Support the new hire onboarding process
Participate in special projects related to recruitment and onboarding
Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance of contract recruiter
Qualifications

What we’re asking for:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
5+ years’ full-cycle recruitment experience within a high-volume environment, including consulting with business partners
1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience
Strong knowledge of relevant employment, AODA, and human rights legislation as it relates to recruitment
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality; fluency in French a strong asset
Ability to effectively prioritize workload, managing multiple, and often competing tasks, and meeting deadlines for various and fluctuating marketing deliverables
Outstanding team player and positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Strong computer skills with MS Office and ATS software (Taleo an asset)
Proficiency with web recruitment tools, including social media (LinkedIn)
Exceptional commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues at various levels of an organization
Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight and compressed timelines
