At Zenabis, our Compliance Officer will support the Compliance Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all communications with Health Canada and other Regulatory authorities concerning licensing and regulatory compliance for the facility and products manufactured within.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of training strategies for compliance
Assist in Quality Management System compliance audits and determines system improvements
Assist in writing and updating standard operating procedures when necessary
Monitor and support the implementation of audit-related corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs)
Monitor inventory of cannabis plants, dried cannabis, cannabis oil, and waste to ensure consolidation with ERP system
Participate in loss and theft investigations led by the Head of Security
Produce yearly, quarterly, monthly and other inventory control related reports as required by the Cannabis Act or other regulatory authority requirements
Work with Security and HR on security clearance submissions and follow-ups with Health Canada
Coordinate all cannabis transfers by ensuring the required documentation is collected and verified, such as quality agreements, licenses and authorizations, roster of authorized individuals, chain of custody, purchase orders, COAs, contracts, etc
Develop and maintain notices to authorities and submit them in a timely manner
Participate in conference calls and audits by regulatory authorities such as Health Canada, EMA and FDA, when these relate to regulatory compliance
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Zenabis’ Quality Management System
Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping the information confidential
Other duties as assigned


University degree in Sciences or related discipline
Experience with document management
At least 2 years' experience with GMP or other regulated work environment
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
Strong analytical and professional judgment skills
Ability to research, analyze and synthesize information from various sources
Ability to demonstrate discretion, tact and sound judgment, especially when reviewing sensitive or confidential information and determining the appropriate course of action
Self-directed individual with the ability to work independently
Meticulous with strong attention to detail
Strong planning and organizational skills
Fast learner who has experience working in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ERP system
Ability to prioritize and balance a variety of projects simultaneously
Bilingual – English and French

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Security Clearance: Security Clearance is a requirement for this position

Working Hours: Salaried Position: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Weekend work may be necessary as per the direction of your direct report
