Why is this role important?
The Systems Analyst, HR Technology will be responsible for assisting with system evaluation, implementation, administration, consultation, development and hands-on process support necessary to support the Company’s HCMS system – Workday, and related HR systems. This role will coordinate and plan upgrades including regression testing and new functionality for all aspects of HR administration. They will also engage stakeholders to support recommendations for implementation of new functionality and/ or revisions to current functionality in order to maximize utilization of current and/or future HR systems.
Support and continually enhance the core HR system - Workday - with a heavy emphasis on building and maintaining the system core and enhancing the functional capabilities of the system.
Build and maintain integrations and ensure the integrity/quality of data transmitted
Troubleshoot the deep details of an issue and fix it from end to end. These fixes may include short term workarounds but will always focus on long term and comprehensive solutions to problems.
Monitor business process activities; assign unassigned tasks; set up organizations
Responsible for the day to day process administration and maintenance including tasks such as modifying business process definitions, conditional rules, notifications etc.
Provide technical and functional HRIS expertise regarding the design and improvement of HR systems and processes
Support HR management in their efforts to administer tactical and strategic activities; Personally deliver the improvements suggested.
Develop deep Workday functionality expertise. Conduct research using Workday’s online courses and Community forum on various documentation and configuration to provide support to Subject Matter Experts.
Coordinate and plan upgrades including regression testing and new functionality for all aspects of HR administration.
Engage stakeholders to support recommendations for implementation of new functionality and/or revisions to current functionality in order to maximize utilization of current and/or future HR systems.
Support the ongoing implementation of Workday and be involved in multiple projects. Work closely with the Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners to streamline, optimize and ensure quality controls are built within Workday to maintain data and process integrity.
Configure complex business processes and optimize across various business units
Skills and Experience:
BA/BS Degree or Equivalent in Information Systems, System Administration or a related field or the equivalent experience working within the HRIS field.
Minimum of three years experience in Information Technology with responsibility for servicing internal and external system customers.
Experience with HR Technology Systems, preferably Workday
Programming experience with MS Access, SQL, Java are an asset
Experience extracting reports and analyzing data
Strong organizational and time management skills, effectively managing work flow and ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize, set goals and objectives, and follow-through to completion
Motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Works well independently, with a strong sense of ownership/ accountability
Proven ability to consolidate and analyze high volumes of moderately complex information and generate basic to intermediate level observations
Ability to effectively work with a diverse group of employees, technical staff and functional end-users.
Demonstrated comfort in working with technical developers and functional users and serving as an advocate for end-user system work and projects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and changing demands while being responsive to end user needs.
Extremely detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal and collaborative work style and ability to develop effective working relationships and demonstrate commitment to being a team player.
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality; Demonstrated professionalism & tact when dealing with highly sensitive information
