We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to fill the role of Paint Technician. The Paint Technician will be responsible for rinsing, completing paint touch ups, and buffing vehicles, all of which will be taught to the successful candidate. Experience in automotive paint or detailing would be an asset, but is not necessary.
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons, so you must be comfortable working in both heat and cold (within reason). Must be comfortable working with chemicals including acetone (while wearing gloves). This position involves some travel as we have clients in the GTA, Peterborough, and Cobourg areas. We do provide a gas supplement dependent on how far the commute is, but there is often the option of driving together to further locations.
This is a per piece business, so your pay will be based on this. You will receive % of each vehicle completed, vehicle completion generally takes 30min to an hour.
Requirements
- Must have at least a G2 license and reliable transportation
- Be willing to commute to different locations
- Be detail oriented and willing to learn
- Able to work outside during all seasons/temperatures (within reason)
- Previous experience in automotive paint or detailing is an asset
Compensation
- Gas and meal allowance for travel
- % of per piece (approx between 6-15 vehicles per day, commission upwards of $300 per day)
Pay: Up to $300.00 per day
