Description:
- The React Developer will be involved throughout the development lifecycle, through requirements analysis, coding, unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing and warranty phases.
- Success in this position is largely dependent on the ability to implement, integrate, improve, prioritise, and automate capabilities across the development stack and deliver against defined roadmaps.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing, testing, and deploying code as part of a large and distributed development team.
- Translation of requirements into technical solutions.
- Contributing to the integration of capabilities into production environments, and managing technical dependencies with other development teams, infrastructure, security, etc.
- Working across teams within Business Technology Solutions to assist with integration, share knowledge, and influence development technology roadmaps.
- You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
- Experience with Object Oriented JavaScript / modern JavaScript libraries (React).
- Experience in source code management (git), continuous testing and software delivery.
- Commercial experience of industry standards, best practice, and development methodologies.
- Real-life experience with Agile methodologies.
- The ability to collaborate effectively and communicate transparently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability and the enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly.
What we prefer you to have:
- Experience with Microsoft development and tooling stacks:
- NET, C#, Web API
- Entity Framework
- Understanding of RDBMS and Data Repositories (SQL Server, MySQL, Azure, noSQL).
- Knowledge of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services (API Manager, Rest Services, Storage)
- Experience working with Product Backlogs using Azure DevOps
- Experience in reinsurance or Commercial/Specialty Insurance
In this role, you will typically be required to:
- Liaise with key business stakeholders.
- This is a hybrid role; some office attendance is required.
