Position:
Porter Ramsay LLP is looking for an enthusiastic Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team in a collaborative, dynamic and team oriented environment. This position is a 1 year Maternity Leave cover, with the potential to stay on with the firm should your term be successful. Preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Corporate and Commercial transactions. A Legal Assistant Diploma or certificate is a must have. Experience in Civil Litigation is an asset but not mandatory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organization and management of files, including filing and maintaining electronic and physical files.
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents.
- Maintain a high level of organizational skills to ensure efficient workflow.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, staff and other parties.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
