Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, particularly in bodywork. This role involves working with both hand tools and power tools to restore vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage. The technician will be responsible for ensuring high-quality repairs and maintaining a safe work environment. 310b license preffered
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform bodywork, including welding, sanding, and painting.
- Replace or repair damaged parts, including panels, bumpers, and frames.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles post-repair to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair status and any additional work required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools specific to auto body work.
- Previous experience working in a dealership setting is a plus.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
