Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Construction & Landscape Manager to lead crews, oversee projects, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both management skills and the ability to work alongside the crew.
The ideal candidate has experience managing construction projects, strong framing knowledge, and practical experience completing landscape and outdoor living projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily schedules, crews, and equipment.
- Lead construction and landscape projects from start to finish.
- Read plans and ensure projects are built accurately.
- Frame decks, fences, pergolas, sheds, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, and subcontractors.
- Train and mentor employees.
- Maintain quality control throughout every project.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Ensure all work follows company safety procedures.
- Track job progress, labour hours, and project costs.
- Assist with estimates and project planning when required.
- Perform hands-on construction and landscaping work as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
- Proven experience managing crews and projects.
- Strong framing experience is required.
- Experience building decks, fences, pergolas, sheds, and similar structures.
- Experience with landscaping projects including grading, sod, rock, mulch, planting, retaining walls, and excavating.
- Ability to operate skid steers, mini excavators, compact equipment, and trailers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence (clean abstract preferred).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience towing trailers is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of estimating, material ordering, and project scheduling is an asset.
