WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician to become part of our Grande Prairie team. The individual should enjoy outdoor physical labour with a desire to serve others, self starter with enthusiasm for a career in renewable energy and be passionate about creating positive change.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solar installation including racking, inverters, batteries, and solar modules
- Carry solar modules up ladders and on steep roofs
- General electrical including transformers, cabling, service upgrades, and EV charging
- Participate in company safety
- Utilize and care for company vehicles and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Apprentice Electrician (any year)
- Self-starter and able to work alone or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven organizational skills, including a high degree of attention to details
- A strong ability to problem solve individually and as a team
- Able to efficiently follow manuals and instructions for equipment installation
- Capable of climbing a ladder with heavy loads and comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and away from home at times
- Current safety training such as first aid, fall arrest, and AWP would be an asset
