Infrastructure Engineer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Infrastructure Engineer - Job Description:
The Infrastructure Engineer will be involved in projects focusing on Private Cloud Infrastructure Tech Refresh and Private Cloud Security Enhancement and Audit findings Remediation. The role includes researching, designing, testing, and deploying cloud platforms and migration solutions.
Infrastructure Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Research, design, test, and deploy Cloud Platform on VMware Cloud Foundation, On-prem VMware vSphere, vRealize Suite, GCVE.
- Develop and deploy migration solutions, working with migration teams to migrate VMware VMs from on-prem to GCVE.
- Collaborate with Private Cloud Engineering Team and Project Managers for infrastructure deployment and vulnerability remediation.
- Research and test new cloud services in testing environments and guide administrators for production implementation.
- Manage and administer backup solutions for the Cloud Platform.
- Provide Level 2 support and vendor escalations for management tools and cloud services.
- Develop and document operational procedures for service admin and operations teams.
Infrastructure Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an infrastructure engineer with Dell Powerflex Solutions or Dell VXRail solution.
- 3+ years of experience with VMware VCF solution (v9.x or v5.x).
- 3+ years of experience with VMware VM migration solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with VMware Solutions including vRealize Log Insight and SRM.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server or Red Hat Linux administration.
- Understanding of VM backup products like Cohesity, Dell EMC Data Domain, Rubrik, or Veeam.
Infrastructure Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with REST API scripting, PowerShell, Python, VMware PowerCLI.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift Virtualization.
- Understanding of Networking, Storage & Security concepts.
- Previous experience in Banking/Financial Institutions.
Infrastructure Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension and FTE conversion.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hybrid with 2 days in office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
