We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic as a dedicated Social Worker to our Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Stabilization Unit (CAPSU) and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit (APU) located at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surry, British Columbia . Build on your education and career experience as you:
Work within a high functioning multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of social work services through assessment, family intervention, group therapy, case management, and referral coordination to children, adolescents and their families admitted to the CAPSU and APU units. Other key responsibilities will include:
Educating and providing consultation to healthcare professionals on issues related to high risk factors and current community practice in the fields of child and adolescent mental health, child protection, and social work practice in relation to persons with mental illness.
Providing comprehensive psychosocial assessment of individuals suffering acute episodes of mental illness and a range of assessment techniques in accordance with professional standards and clinical policies and practices.
Formulating goals and treatment plans with children, adolescents and their families witbio-psychosocialsocial treatment model.
Participating in research, quality improvement, and program planning and development relevant to the needs of children and youth by methods such as providing required information and initiating and participating in research processes, trials, and grant applications.
To join our team you have:
Master’s degree of Social Work;
Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers;
Three (3) years' recent related clinical experience in Child and/or Adolescent Mental Health, including assessment and family intervention.
