Job Summary
Our client is looking for an Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, month-end activities, regulatory work, process improvement, and working across different areas of the business.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
- Support the month-end close and maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations.
- Investigate discrepancies and reporting issues and support their resolution.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory filings.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, standardization, and system improvements.
- Provide accurate financial information and accounting guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Support and mentor junior accounting team members.
- Participate in special projects, system implementations, and broader Finance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA designation in progress or planned is preferred.
- Professional-level French is considered an asset.

Pay: Up to $77,000.00 per year
