Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and exceptional customer service skills, creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe bar area. Previous experience in food and beverage service, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting, is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, multitasking abilities, and knowledge of food safety standards to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure compliance with legal alcohol service regulations
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area at the start and end of shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry service roles preferred, especially in bartending or serving positions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety, food handling, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and making accurate change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to hospitality and serving alcohol
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Must hold a valid SmartServe certificate
