THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario.
Reporting to the Operations Leadership Team, you will lead all shipping and receiving activities while ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on employee engagement, productivity, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who enjoys coaching teams, driving performance, improving processes, and creating a positive and accountable work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise all daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate material flow
- Coordinate labour resources and staffing assignments to meet operational and production objectives
- Monitor team performance and ensure work is completed according to quality standards, procedures, and company expectations
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment
- Conduct employee coaching, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when required
- Investigate workplace incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Collaborate with Production, Materials, Quality, and other departments to support operational goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
- Champion and maintain 5S and workplace organization standards throughout the department
- Monitor departmental KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Participate as a key member of the plant leadership team and contribute to strategic operational initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Employment Standards Act (ESA)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience using ERP systems is considered an asset
- Valid Forklift Certification required
