Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay orders to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Assist guests with questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, and restaurant policies to ensure excellent guest services.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service without compromising quality.
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash handling.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
