Our busy manufacturing client is recruiting for a Tool Designer. You will be responsible for the operation of moulds, coordinate mould repairs/maintenance and perform inventory checks of spare parts and supplies to maintain moulds. You will develop new products through conceptual designs, models and experimental moulds, perform application evaluations and recommend design changes, look for new methods and materials that will improve productivity, time to market and product performance, lead the APQP process, provide PPAP testing and documentation, participate in Continuous Improvement incentives, issue product development documentation for new products and coordinate training for new mould operation and existing mould maintenance.
You will obtain quotes and conduct cost analysis with appropriate, validated vendors. You will work with the sales department providing technical support, product/application evaluations, assist in product design, non-conforming materials resolution, mould revisions, maintenance and product quality verification.
You have mechanical or design engineering education (college or university), APQP & PPAP experience, moulded product experience, above average communication skills and 4 years relevant experience in manufacturing.
Pay: $68,000.00-$72,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
- APQP and PPAP: 1 year (preferred)
- Cimatron: 1 year (preferred)
- Mould Tool Designing: 1 year (preferred)
