Company Description
EMBERS — the Eastside Movement for Business and Economic Renewal Society — is a community economic development organization with a singular purpose: to create meaningful economic and employment opportunities for people by connecting them with jobs, training, and the support they need to succeed.
At the heart of EMBERS' work is EMBERS Staffing Solutions (ESS), a multiple award-winning social enterprise that is reshaping the staffing industry across Western Canada. ESS operates on a powerful premise: business success and social good are not competing goals. Every year, ESS places thousands of workers from diverse backgrounds into short- and long-term roles, and every dollar of profit generated is reinvested directly into the community — funding worker support programs, free tool and equipment lending, and access to certified skills training.
