Job Title: Key Holder / Senior Retail Associate

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and responsible Key Holder to join our team in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We craft and sell high-end, award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate and specialty coffee. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, creating exceptional experiences for locals and tourists alike. drive retail sales through tasting education, and handcraft premium espresso and pour-over coffees.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop Operations
- Open and close the retail store securely when the store managers isn’t present
- Manage cash registers and daily financial reconciliations.
- Maintain a spotless, inviting storefront and cafe environment
- Customer Experience & Sales
- Greet guests warmly and share the story of our bean-to-bar chocolate.
- Conduct flavor tastings to guide customers toward premium purchases.
- Meet and exceed daily retail sales targets.
- Coffee & Beverage Service
- Dial in espresso shots and pour-over coffee to exact quality standards.
- Educate guests on coffee origins, processing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Maintain and clean specialty coffee equipment throughout the day
- Inventory & Merchandising
- Restock shelves, chocolate displays, and coffee bar supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
- Ensure all products are beautifully merchandised and correctly priced.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of retail key holder or shift supervisor experience.
- Proven barista experience with espresso machines and manual pour-over brewing.
- Strong sales skills with a genuine passion for fine food, chocolate, or specialty coffee.
- Excellent communication skills and a welcoming, hospitable personality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay: $18.50 per hour
