The company has a new position for a reliable Picker/Packer to work at one of our warehouses in Concord, ON.
Main activities include:
- Scan bar code printed for the items and enter the Identification Number into and update the Warehouse Inventory
- Locate and accurately pick from warehouse stock the customer order items
- Verify the items for correct manufacturer, size, colour, style, quantity - Reviewing orders for accuracy and cross referencing with packing lists
- Identify defects by inspecting the product for damages.
- Record all picking errors on a log or verbally advise superior
- Obtain, fold and place items neatly into cartons
- Process all items that are to be returned to stock
- Maintain and organize the work area to ensure cleanliness
- Meet and exceed productivity and quality standards outlined by the company
- Other duties as required
Skills & Abilities:
- 1-2 years of picking/packing experience an asset
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Effective organizational skills
- Must have the skills to efficiently and effectively manage time and carry out orders
- Must possess the skills of coordinating with other departments
- Must be compliant with all safety and legal documentation processes of a warehouse.
Working conditions:
- Requires standing, lifting, twisting
- Work under pressure
