Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our team for evening shifts on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Wednesday-Sunday 5:30pm-1:30am, 40hrs/week
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy evening hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients or supplies
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evening shifts on a full-time basis, including weekends as needed
