About the Role
Veles Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior and exterior painting finishes on residential and commercial projects while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Perform interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial projects.
- Repair minor drywall imperfections and surface defects prior to painting.
- Mask and protect surrounding areas to ensure clean finishes.
- Mix and match paint colours as required.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Follow project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
- Assist with general construction tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional painting experience.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
- Ability to operate painting tools and spray equipment safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
Employment Terms
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour.
- Trial Period: The first two (2) weeks of employment will serve as a paid trial period to assess mutual fit and performance.
- Contract Duration: Upon successful completion of the trial period, employment will continue under a fixed-term contract for a total duration of three (3) months.
- Based on performance, project requirements, and business needs, there may be opportunities for contract extension or future employment with Veles Construction Ltd.
