Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced House Assistant/Cook for a residence located in Oakville. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, along with regular dinner preparation. This position is full-time, live-out, Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm with flexibility.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeping professional who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a passion for cooking who is comfortable with meal prep and can follow a recipe. You have a good eye for detail and are comfortable working alone.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors
- Preparing dinners, prepping groceries
- Maintain household inventory and prepare household inventory checklists
- Daily laundry, ironing and steaming
- Trash and recycling management
- Running errands, grocery shopping, dry cleaning
- Supervising vendors
- Other duties as required
Applicant Qualities:
- Must have previous experience working in a semi-formal residence
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries
- Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills
- A valid full G driver's license and vehicle
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
