Job Description
MVB F.C. is looking for energetic and passionate Soccer Development Coaches to join our youth soccer programs in Mississauga.
This position focuses on our developmental soccer classes, working with children at different ages and skill levels and helping them build strong soccer fundamentals in a fun, structured, and positive environment.
We are looking for coaches who love soccer, enjoy working with children, and know how to make young players feel confident and excited to learn.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and age-appropriate soccer training sessions
- Teach fundamental technical skills including ball control, passing, dribbling, shooting, and movement
- Introduce players to basic game understanding
- Adapt activities to different ages and ability levels
- Create a fun, safe, positive, and structured environment
- Encourage confidence, teamwork, creativity, and sportsmanship
- Manage groups of young players effectively
- Communicate professionally with families and MVB F.C. staff
- Help players develop a love for soccer
Requirements
- Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience is required
- Comfortable working with children and different age groups
- Energetic and able to keep young players engaged
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, responsible, organized, and positive
- Availability during evenings and/or weekends
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) prior to working independently with players. The cost of the required VSC will be reimbursed by MVB F.C.
Preferred Qualifications
- Soccer coaching certifications are an asset
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Experience working with children is an asset
- Experience with grassroots or youth soccer development programs is preferred
