Hydrovac Operator

Position Summary
The position will consist of hydrovac assignments including pipelines projects. Regular travel and varied schedules will be a requirement. Shift schedule rotation and assignments are based on a 50-hour workweek plus overtime. Cross training and perform other vac truck work assignments such as turnarounds, will provide opportunity for steady year round employment. Accommodation is provided for out of town work and include crew housing, hotel and camp environments.
Compensation and Benefits
This position has potential to easily earn a starting annual income of $120K to 150K per year depending on rotation and schedule preferences. Key Responsibilities
- Drive, operate and perform Hydro Vac and other operator duties as assigned.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all time
- Performs pre and post trip inspections
- Assists with job site preparation, staging equipment
- Maintains and updates driver’s electronic log book
- Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day
- Performs minor repairs and coordinate with mechanic group
Required Skills and Competencies
- Hold minimum valid class 3Q license with clean abstract
- First Aid, H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space, CSO, PCST, GD201 (Global or Aztec) certificates
- Good analytical and reasoning capabilities, use of good judgement and decision making
- Perform customer site requirements and service excellence
- Able to prioritize and multi-task
- Above average app and computer skills for day to day electronic forms, e-logs and safety compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
