Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Reminder for medications following care plans and safety protocols.
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through companionship, engagement, and emotional encouragement.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning and sanitation tasks regularly.
- Observe and document changes in health status or behavior, communicating updates to the healthcare team promptly.
- Provide specialized dementia care by implementing personalized routines and ensuring a calm, supportive atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in home care support assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and empathy.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks, meal preparation, and other household duties efficiently.
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent is an asset; ongoing training is supported.
- Experience working with diverse populations requiring home care or senior care services is advantageous.
