Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives. This leadership role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operational excellence, with a focus on implementing lean manufacturing principles and utilizing ERP systems to optimize plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage supply chain activities, including inventory control, procurement, and logistics, leveraging SAP, MRP, and other ERP systems.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet company specifications and industry standards.
- Supervise maintenance of manufacturing equipment with a focus on mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across all departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as assembly, engineering, and quality assurance to streamline operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality metrics, and process improvements.
- Prepare reports for senior management regarding operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or plant operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP processes, and supply chain management.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices within manufacturing settings.
- Experience overseeing assembly processes and implementing process efficiencies.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage change, and drive operational excellence.
