Overview
We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about food service and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our culinary team by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure efficient meal assembly
- Support cooking processes by preparing basic dishes and following established recipes and standards
- Maintain high standards of food handling and safety protocols to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
- Help with food service tasks such as plating dishes, setting up stations, and restocking supplies during service hours
- Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas through regular cleaning routines
- Follow proper food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and excellent service to customers
Skills
- Previous food service experience or familiarity with restaurant operations is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and hygiene practices in the food industry
- Ability to perform meal preparation and assist in cooking tasks efficiently
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction during food delivery
- Excellent attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness routines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
