Role Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods throughout the production and warehouse areas. This role supports continuous beverage production by ensuring materials are delivered to production lines on time and finished products are accurately scanned, labeled, and stored. The Forklift Operator works both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and must adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards.
We are currently hiring one (1) Forklift Operator to support our Weekend Shift (7:00am - 7:00pm) with optional shifts throughout the week!
Key Responsibilities
1. Forklift Operation & Material Handling
- Safely operate sit-down forklifts, ride-behind pallet trucks, and reach trucks (training and certification provided).
- Remove finished product pallets from production lines and place them in designated warehouse lanes.
- Transport raw materials and packaging to production lines as required.
- Load, unload, and move materials in accordance with SOPs and production schedules.
2. Inventory Control & Documentation
- Use handheld scanners to record inventory movements and label pallets accurately (scanner training provided).
- Ensure all materials are scanned, labeled, and stored in the correct locations.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, or labeling issues promptly.
3. Equipment Awareness & Care
- Perform pre-shift equipment checks and report mechanical or safety issues immediately.
- Maintain general awareness of forklift operation and safe handling practices.
- Operate equipment in a manner that prevents damage to product, racking, and facilities.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company health and safety policies, including PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment.
- Participate in hazard identification and report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents.
5. Communication & Teamwork
- Follow verbal and written instructions from Supervisors and Leads.
- Communicate clearly with Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent required.
Experience
- Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is an asset.
- Forklift certification will be provided on-site; prior certification preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and responsibly.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using scanners and inventory systems.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verification.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to a full shift).
- Ability to work in a minimally climate-controlled warehouse environment with temperature variations.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced beverage manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical activity.
- Requires CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear and other PPE as required.
- Overtime or shift changes may be required based on production demands, in accordance with ESA standards.

Application question(s):

- This position will require you to work 12-hour weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Are you able to work these shifts?
