Duties
- Greet patients warmly, check in appointments, and manage patient flow efficiently
- Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and handle rescheduling as needed
- Verify insurance information, process payments, and manage billing records accurately
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments, preparing materials, and maintaining sterilization protocols
- Support clinical tasks such as taking x-rays and assisting with pediatric dental care
- Maintain cleanliness of operatories and sterilize dental tools according to strict infection control standards
- Use dental practice management software such as Abeldent to update patient records and streamline administrative workflows
Skills
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in dental assisting roles with strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with dental software platforms like Abeldent for scheduling and record management.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy
- Skilled in dental assisting techniques including taking x-rays , preparing treatment rooms, and supporting clinical staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
