POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to contribute to our team and create a meaningful impact. This is a part-time hybrid position, and you must reside in Calgary. As a Graphic Designer for GRETA, you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing visually stunning assets for both print and digital platforms.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in a fast-paced marketing or hospitality/lifestyle environment
- College diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Premiere Pro or After Effects is an asset
- Solid understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Experience creating graphics optimized for multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) including Stories, Reels, and static formats
- Proven experience in both digital design and print production, including knowledge of print specifications, file prep, and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with brand management and the ability to work creatively within established brand guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work on time
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and file management habits
- Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, solid problem-solving skills, and a genuine openness to feedback and creative direction
- A passion for design and a commitment to staying current with industry trends, tools, and emerging formats
- Video editing or motion graphics experience is a plus
- Photography or photo retouching experience is an asset
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute design projects from initial brief through to final delivery across digital, print, and in-venue applications
- Collaborate with the Art Director and Marketing Coordinators to understand project goals, messaging, and audience
- Translate brand strategy and marketing objectives into compelling visual concepts
- Produce a wide range of deliverables including social media content, email graphics, menus, signage, promotional materials, event collateral, and digital ads
- Ensure all creative output adheres to brand standards and maintains visual consistency across all touchpoints
- Manage and organize digital asset libraries, templates, and design files
- Support store-level design requests from Marketing Coordinators, balancing urgency with quality
- Assist the Art Director with day-to-day tasks and larger campaign production
- Prepare and package print-ready files and liaise with print vendors as needed
- Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute ideas to campaign development
- Conduct quality checks on all final files before submission or handoff
- Proactively flag timeline risks and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Stay current with design trends, social media best practices, and competitor activity to bring fresh thinking to the team
COMPENSATION
- Hourly wage of $23-$27 (Based on experience, qualifications, and market location)
