About the Role
We are seeking a driven and compassionate Family Law Lawyer to join our team and assist clients through a wide range of family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, parenting, support, and property division. You will help clients navigate emotionally complex and often challenging circumstances by providing clear, practical legal advice while advocating for their rights and interests. What You'll Do
- Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and court submissions with precision
- Conduct legal research to stay current on family law developments
- Negotiate settlements that serve clients' best interests, favouring amicable resolutions where possible
- Represent clients in court, mediations, and hearings
- Advise clients on their rights, options, and strategy
- Manage legal aid matters and billing accurately and efficiently
- Keep case files organized and on track, meeting all deadlines
What You Bring
- Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing
- 1+ years of family law experience, with strong drafting, negotiation, and research skills
- Preferable articling experience in Family Law
- A self-starter mentality. You take initiative and own your files, with mentorship and support available as you grow
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Empathy, discretion, and professionalism with clients in sensitive situations
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple active files

Pay: Commission-based structure, with a base pay equivalent to relative experience
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hamilton, ON and St. Catharines, ON
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
