Summary
We are seeking a Part Time Security/Maintenance Candidate to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guest, staff, and property. This position involves monitoring hotel premises, enforcing safety policies, responding to incidents, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Safety
- Patrol hotel premises (interior and exterior) to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, or unsafe conditions
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control points
- Respond promptly to emergencies, guest complaints, disturbances, and security incidents
- Enforce hotel rules, safety regulations, and policies
- Assist guests and staff with safety concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Prepare incident and shift reports as required
- Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary
General Maintenance & Property Support
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and minor repairs
- Identify and report maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing leaks, damaged doors, faulty locks, safety hazards)
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas when needed
- Ensure emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, exit signage, lighting) is present and functional
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in security, hospitality, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of building safety and minor maintenance tasks
- Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
