About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading Canadian distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables, is seeking an experienced Produce Sales Manager to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales professional with a strong background in the fresh produce industry. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing sales strategies across retail, wholesale, and foodservice markets. Working closely with procurement, operations, and logistics, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Grow existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail, wholesale, and foodservice customers.
- Monitor produce market trends, pricing, and customer demand to maximize sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure exceptional execution and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements while maintaining profitability.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Lead, coach, and mentor members of the sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
- Represent the company with integrity while strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience within the fresh produce, food distribution, grocery, or wholesale industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, wholesale distribution, market trends, pricing, and sales forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Previous sales leadership or team management experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.

Pay: $73,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
