Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with their dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers opportunities for growth within the hospitality sector and is essential in maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold health standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
- Respond to guest inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items and restaurant services
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and basic food handling procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items or promoting specials is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Hospitality or guest services background is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $18.25 per hour
