Job Description – Vet and Barn Team

Position Summary:
Meadow Lane Equine Clinic is currently looking for a staff member to work at our clinic located in Cloverdale, BC.
This would ideally be a multipurpose role, with the ideal candidate being able to assist our veterinarians (with daily work on the road), working on site in the barn caring for horses and working independently doing Class 4 laser treatment (company vehicle provided). Work hours range from 7am-3pm in the barn/and performing laser and range from 8am to 5pm while on the road with veterinarian. Rotating weekend availability shared with other staff members is a must for this role.
* Start date is flexible but aiming to have position filled before or on August 1st, 2026.
*Candidate must have valid driver's license.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-AM feeding
-Turnout
-Cleaning Stalls/Paddocks/Waters inside and outside
-Prep feed/ hay for PM dinners inside and outside
- Training will be provided for Vet Assistant role but candidate must be confident safely handling horses for vet procedures
Qualifications:
Successful candidates must be comfortable handlings horses of all ages and sizes, have good communication skills and be able to work independently and within a team environment.

Meadow Lane Equine Clinic is a full-service veterinary practice dedicated to their equine patients and clients. We provide a level of care which is professional and progressive with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine in order to maintain optimal health and performance for the equine athlete and equine companion. Meadow Lane operates a small private facility that houses 10 horses - ranging from foals to stallions, broodmares and performance horses.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
