Banking Technology Technical Architect
We’re looking for Montréal’s top technical architects, lead software developers, entrepreneurs or data scientists who want to learn about technology delivery and innovation in financial services. The opportunity
Support our projects by working on technology deliverables for a multi-disciplinary team of business/technology and clients/consultants
Support the Technology or Technical Architecture function for our major banking clients
Your key responsibilities
Each project role will contain one or more of the following responsibilities:
Engage with business leaders; help shape the IT strategy to meet their future need
Assess current state of the client technology landscape; document the technical architecture
Define the future state of the client technology landscape; support the enterprise architecture blueprint and research potential technical solutions for gaps
Deliver the detailed technical architecture deliverables: application architecture, data architecture, infrastructure and security
Communicate complex technical concepts and provide points of view on different technology options; you will need an opinion; you might want to code
Skills and attributes for success
Interest in the technology that is used within the Financial Services industry: could also be from education, software, retail, telecommunications, or utilities background
Knowledge of database and integration technologies on cloud (Azure, AWS, Oracle, Google)
Methodical process for assessing a technology problem and providing a solution
A detailed technical understanding of at least one technology or application; the ability to clearly and confidently explain how it works
Strong written communication skills (French)
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
Experience in leading the design of an application or software architecture or business start-up
Experience presenting technical concepts within a business context; this could be between 0 and 10 years
