Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide medical oversight for our IV iron infusion services. This is a casual, remote position with flexible hours, ideal for an NP looking to supplement their practice. The NP will review and oversee the clinic’s medical directive (updated annually) and connect virtually with patients in advance of their infusion appointments to ensure safe delegation of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide annual (1x/year) oversight of the clinic’s medical directive for IV iron infusions.
- Conduct brief phone intake questionnaire/assessment with patients prior to their infusion appointments to ensure patient eligibility and delegate infusion administration to registered nurses.
- Collaborate with clinic staff as needed regarding patient care and infusion protocols.
Schedule & Commitment
- Estimated ~5 hours per week.
- Casual, flexible schedule (calls completed remotely at the NP’s convenience).
- 100% remote – can be performed from anywhere.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Experience in primary care, internal medicine, hematology, or infusion therapy is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication skills and comfort with virtual care.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
