Nature & Scope of Position
  • Entire ownership of all audit functions at StandardAero in Summerside, this includes but is not limited to:
External Audits
o Scheduling and coordination of all Transport Canada, AS9110, Foreign AMO, and Customer audits
o Facilitation of the audits
o Distribution, and follow up of any related audit reports, findings and/or observations to the relevant parties
o Root cause, corrective/preventative action analysis
o Timely validation and verification of all corrective and preventative actions
o Follow up to ensure the recertification process is complete

Internal Audits
o Scheduling and coordination of all internal audits within the facility as well as the Satellite Shops
o Facilitation of the audits
o Creation, distribution, and follow up of audit reports, findings and/or observations to the relevant parties
o Timely validation and verification of all of all corrective and preventative actions
o Trend analysis and escalation of repetitive non conformances

Note: The primary focus of this position is auditing, however on occasion this individual may be asked to assist the quality assurance department with other aspects of the quality system.

Position Requirements

Qualifications/Personal Skills
  • Exhibit strong accountability by taking ownership of issues and results.
  • Building relationships while being direct and determined in the pursuit of resolution.
  • Must be knowledgeable and comfortable with auditing procedures especially as they relate to Transport Canada, FAA, EASA and AS9110 Requirements
  • Must poses an Auditor/Lead Auditor training certificate to AS9110 standard or equivalent
  • Previous quality experience working within an AMO or an Aerospace company is desirable
  • Must be able to handle steady workloads and prioritize accordingly
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as take ownership and accountability
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and internal database applications
  • Minimum grade 12 education. Post-secondary education in a technical field is an asset. Strong technical experience in the gas turbine engine repair area is beneficial
  • Familiarity with (applicable systems) quality procedures and documentation including OEM publications, process paperwork, parts routing procedures, IDB, engineering repair instructions, work instructions, and non-conformance reporting systems
Working Environment:
An individual in this capacity must be aware that the position will involve:
  • At times willing to work outside of regular business hours to complete tasks.
  • Being able to walk to various areas throughout the facility on a daily basis
  • Spending extended periods of time working at a computer, on the phone and on the shop floor
  • Must be willing to comply with all company policies as established in the employee handbook
  • Travel within North America and abroad
