Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team, specializing in finishing kitchen cabinet doors. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying high-quality paint finishes, ensuring smooth and durable coatings. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various tools and equipment used in a manufacturing environment. The Spray Painter will play a vital part in delivering aesthetically appealing and professionally finished products that meet our quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cabinet doors for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Operate spray painting equipment to apply finishes evenly across surfaces
- Maintain and calibrate spray guns and other application tools for optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols while handling paints, solvents, and machinery
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Clean work area and equipment regularly to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Assist with other manufacturing tasks such as assembly or machining when required
- Adhere to lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow efficiency
Experience
- 2 years Previous experience in spray painting or finishing within a manufacturing or woodworking environment is required
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, hand tools, and spray equipment
- Familiarity with the use of cranes or forklifts is a plus but not mandatory
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during prep work and quality checks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to optimize production processes
- Experience with machining, welding, or assembly processes is advantageous but not essential
